BANKING AS A CAREER

Banking as a career is one of the best option for every Graduates and even for Intermediates joining as either Probationary Officer (PO) or Clerical Cadre in Most of the Nationalised Banks of India and State Bank of India and its Associates with its Best Promotional aspect and financial benefits. Not only this, options are there for Rural Banks in almost all the states sponsored by many of the nationalized Banks or State Government and also in Private Sector Banks which are mushrooming up everywhere. With this present NDA Government’s Policy of "Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana" and after granting license to few more Organisations for Banking by RBI, opportunities will be much more than before. And also opening Insurance sector as a part of Banking makes widen in the requirement of more manpower.  In this sector, if you are passionate about your job, you can reach upto the top of the Hierarchy easily. SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR NATIONALISED BANKS

Selection for PO and Clerical Cadre for all the Nationalised Banks in India apart from State Bank of India and its Associate Banks is done through a common Score cards system of Examination i.e., IBPS. After getting good score in IBPS, selections are done by individual Banks through Group Discussion and Personal Interview after calling candidates with their choice of cut off marks. So a good Score in IBPS Examination is necessary for getting chance to get call for Interviews from maximum of the Banks. For SBI and its Associate Banks, they used to conduct time to time their own Examination according to their vacancy and follow the same system of Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Apart from this, Banks like Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank etc used to have separate entry system as Assistant Manager or PO through their own Selection and provide Banking Courses in association with Institutes like Manipal Institute of Banking by providing their Education Loan. This type of selection gives much competition among the candidates as they are giving secure jobs and best internship during their courses.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR RURAL BANKS

Selection of PO and Clerical cadre entry for Rural Banks of the State are also done through IBPS Examination score card which is conducted separately with the same procedure followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by Rural Banks. The difference in the case of rural Banks Selection procedure is Preferences are given to Local candidates who are well verge with their local Language.

SELECTION PROCEDURE FOR PRIVATE BANKS

Selection of PO is done in private leading Bank like ICICI through its own recruitment process and giving proper courses before induction as an Officer. They are doing this type of recruitment 2-3 times in a year according to their projection of expansion of Banks. And for maximum of the other Private Banks Recruitment is done either through Campus Recruitment from colleges and Universities according to their need and qualification or through their own Recruitment Agencies. And above this many of them have link up with Private Institutes like NIIT IFBI, Manipal, etc with direct placement system. So in such recruitment, qualification and exposure of the Candidates matter a lot, hence doing a course like MBA, PGDM, CA, ICWA, CS, M.Com etc benefits more than just a Simple Graduate or Post Graduates. Fields may be Security, Technology, Agriculture, Insurance, Management, Finance, CA etc from experienced candidates who have already exposure. CAREER MAP FOR PHYSICS :-

Physics is a branch of Science which deals about physical world and so it’s one of the interesting subject to study. Sometimes there is no limit for which can cover this subject of Physics starting from the formation of this Universe to un-measurable distance of space. With it’s various branches viz., Mathematical Physics, Quantum Physics, Atomic & Molecular Physics, Optical Physics, Nano-particle physics, Astronomy, solid State Matter, Electronics, Nuclear Physics etc., you can enjoy every bits of topics with a lot of excitement.

As you know science needs continuous process of learning unlike Arts, Commerce as a stream of study which you can opt to change after intermediate or Graduation or Master’s degree, So I suggest you that If you are so passionate about any of the science subject to pick up for career option then don’t change your mind and stuck to it till you die. But this is for your information that like Chemical formulae are language of learning Chemistry, Mathematics is the language of Physics, without mathematical expressions we can’t express our language of Physics. The Career of Physics starting from intermediate level of study till upto Research is given below

1. Intermediate level :

Taking Physics as an option along with Mathematics and Chemistry which is widely known as PCM group is most suitable for entering to most of the engineering fields of study apart from few of the fields like Biomedical, Biotechnology etc.

Above this for those who want to join Defence through NDA or Engineering entry or SCRA(Railway Apprentice), PCM is again a compulsory option with English as compulsory subject and 70% of PCM is required for Engineering entry in Defence which gives a secured job as an officer with B.Tech degree from reputed University of India like JNU, New delhi.

Not only this for admission to most of the top Universities for doing graduation in physics Honrs or General Course, you need to score high percentage in Intermediate Board Examination. If you look into the trend of admission cut off marks for DU top colleges , you need to have 98-99 % in PCM in intermediate.

2.  Graduation in Physics :

After completion of graduation with Physics (Honrs) or Physics (Electronics Honrs) or PCM (General) depending upon options provided in various universities and Autonomous Colleges of India, you have a lot options to choose. Among them one of the best option for those who are passionate about the study of physics is opting for Master’s degree in Physics and looking for research and development as career. For master’s degree, selection process varied from university to university, and from college to college, some are with entrance examination and some goes with cut off marks of graduation. Prior to this one need to check which specialization options are given in that particular University or College, options may be of Electronics, Solid State Physics, Astrophysics, etc. Apart from this every student can dream of joining to any of the reputed IITs or Top Research Institutes like IISc(Indian Institute of Sciences Bangalore), TIFR, BARC, PRL, NPRL, S.N. BOSE, RRCAT, etc through JAM/JEST which is organized by any of the above IITs or Institutes every year for Integrated Courses like Dual M.Sc-Ph.D. or Integrated Ph.D. or MS (Research) and fields of study may be Applied Physics or with certain Specialization. Otherwise, in General after completion of Graduation in Physics, you can apply for various Competitive Examinations like UPSC Civil Services Exam, Indian Forest Service (IFS), CPF or State Public Service Commissions or SSC, Banking etc. For joining Defence your Graduation in Physics gives a wider scope as you can apply for IAF, Navy, Army either through CDS or through their SSC schemes. Another option is also there which is quite demanding that is doing B.Ed and go for teaching line as demand for Science Teachers is very high.

3. MASTERs DEGREE IN PHYSICS

After completion of Masters Degree from any of the reputed University or College, you can apply for NET/JRF which is eligibility for joining as a lectureship or for going Research in any of the Research Centres or various Departments of Universities. Apart from this you can apply for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers) and after clearing this you can opt for M.Tech in certain specializations which are offered in IITs, NITs and Research Institutes. And if you want to go for research Institutes or Universities in Other Countries then you have to clear English Proficiency Test Exams according to the requirement of the University or Institute or through GRE. All these research options are with Scholarship except those who are doing research without any of the above mentioned Examination’s Score Card. Not only these you can apply for Scientific Officers/Scientist recruitment through BARC’s recruitment which is conducted every year. Apart from these options you can apply for PGT in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangsthan and Navodya Vidyalayas without completion of B.Ed. And still you have some more options for joining to Defence if you have academic age in IAF, NAVY, ARMY through their special recruitment like Executive Officers and Meteorological staffs.

4.  DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN PHYSICS  

After completion of Ph.D in physics, you are almost sure to become a scientist to any of the research centres of India through their regular recruitment or Going for teaching in Universities or Colleges of India. Apart from this you can still have option for going higher in your passionate Subject Physics by doing Post Doctoral Research in any of the Research Centres of India which have facilities for high level of laboratory or can go to Abroad.

There is no limit in this Universe as per Physics, hence there is also no limit for options after taking your passionate subject physics. The above mentioned options and career graph is very few out of the thousands of options which you can have. Dream Dream and chase any of your dream, you can get it.
