Staff Selection Commission ( shortly SSC ) is one of the Organization other than UPSC under Government of India which conducts various recruitment examinations up to the level of Direct Group B entry into the various departments under Government of India. They used to conduct SSC Combined Graduate Level Examinations ( which mainly recruits Officers up to the level of Group B entry for posts vacant at Central Secretariat, Income Tax Inspectors, Central Excise Inspectors, Preventive Officers of Customs, SI in CBI,Postal Inspectors, Auditors, UDC, Tax Assistants for Income Tax as well as Central Excise & Customs etc ) every year. They also conduct class 12 level entry combined Examination every year for the selection of Various posts including LDC, Data Entry Operator, stenographers etc ). Apart from this every year they used to conduct Junior Engineer level entry Examination for recruitment of Junior Engineer in various posts under Various Departments of Government of India. Time to time, they are the one who used to conduct open competitive Examination for recruitment of SI, ASI in CISF, BSF, Delhi Police, Intelligence Bureau of India (IB) etc. Notifications are uploaded on their official website which is given below as well as to their regional official websites which are listed below. And not only these, they used to conduct recruitment Examination for various posts for other small departments time to time in region wise advertisement.
